Separation of Crystal Violet Dye from Wastewaters by Using Supported Liquid Membrane Technology

نویسندگان

چکیده

The current study enumerates the use of supported liquid membrane (SLM) technology to remove and recover crystal violet dye from wastewaters. management textile industry waste effluents is one main concerns environmental health experts due having excessive concentrations dyes resistance biodegradation. Liquid membranes offer an affordable green method for selective removal aqueous solutions. To create a membrane, refined edible vegetable oils were on microporous polymeric films polypropylene (PP1E). Various parameters influencing transport, such as pH range in feed solution, initial concentration, acid concentration strip oil viscosities, lifetime, have been studied. maximum flux value ( 1.7 × 10 − 5 mg/cm2/s) was obtained with sunflower oil-supported at 12 solution 0.3 M hydrochloric solution. Under ideal conditions, amount transported within 6 hours. Studies stability morphology revealed that remained constant up about 24 hours then decreased gradually. Morphological studies showed this may be attributed deformation pores shape gradual clogging.

Effect of Complexation Reaction Constant on the Separation of Propylene/Propane by Supported Liquid Membrane

Traditional systems for olefin/paraffin separation, like low-temperature distillation, are expensive and very energy consuming, and therefore, alternative separation methods are desired. Facilitated transport membranes are new tools for this separation to be substituted in large scale separation of olefin-paraffin mixtures. To design a membrane process for olefin-paraffin separation, equilibriu...

Removal of cadmium (II) from aqueous waste effluents by using supported liquid membrane technology

There is a growing need to develop technologies that can separate and selectively remove hazardous chemical species from waste effluents. Selective removal of cadmium ions through a supported liquid membrane (SLM) containing triethanolamine (TEA) as a mobile carrier has been studied. The effects of Cd(II) concentration, HCl in feed and carrier concentration in membrane has been studied. Cd(II) ...

Optimization Extraction of Terbium by Supported Liquid Membrane Using D2EHPA and TOPO

The extraction of Terbium (III)from aqueous nitrate solutions with a supported liquid membrane was investigated using a mixture of di-(2-ethylhexyl phosphoric acid (D2EHPA) and tri-octyl phosphine oxide (TOPO) with a molar ratio 1/0.4. The Hydrophobic Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF) membrane was used as solid support. The sorption process followed pseudo-second-o...
